Same counter,
same griddle,
since 1957.
It started as a chrome trailer pulled up on the corner with eight stools and a coffee urn. The trailer's long gone, but the griddle isn't, and neither is the rule that built the place: good food, fast, at a price that doesn't sting.
Three generations have flipped eggs behind this counter. The regulars have their stools. The pie case never empties. And the door's been open early and open late for longer than most of the block has been standing.
